Myself and many other dj’s and producers have been having problems with Soundcloud uploads recently due to their inconsistent ‘Automatic Content Protection’ system.
Like Mixcloud, Beatport seem to have cottoned on to this and revamped the Artist Profile area of the site so you can upload either original work or mixes [studio, radio/podcast, live]. Just as on the Mixcloud site, downloads aren’t available, but I’m hoping they will deploy the same option of uploading a playlist that can link the tracks in your mix to the store so listeners can buy the tracks they like. It’s still in ‘Beta’ but would be great if it works out.
