Q1 dump and life update! Last weekend was good to get on the decks again, but it’s been after a long winter of chemotherapy treatments, appointments, blood tests and a stem cell harvest. The teams at Ricky Grant Day Unit Torbay Hospital and Birch Day Unit Derriford have been incredible at every step. Thankfully, despite all the Myeloma symptoms and side effects of treatment (mainly fatigue) I’ve still been able to work and also get out for walks. A few walks to the pub on Fridays for a couple of Guinness too! Cycling and Snowboarding are on the back burner for now but hope to get back to that asap.
Next up for treatment is the stem cell transplant/re-infusion mid-April followed by many weeks of recovery time. Before that, if I can shift the cold I currently have, I’ll be at Below Decks this Saturday with Sunset Social Club to spin some tunes. Happy Easter!

Well, it’s been a little while since I last posted on the grid. I didn’t think I was going to be at the IppleDance night but a brief window between stem cell harvesting and the upcoming re-infusion meant I could head back to my home village to dj alongside one of my oldest friends @djmikebourne
The Ipplepen carnival committee volunteers put so much effort into transforming the village hall into a rave with lasers and uv decor everywhere! It was great fun to dig into a mix of old vinyl and revived digital edits and see over 100 villagers giving it large for a few hours complete with glow sticks.
